Add a true "save game" option

Postby djsullivan » November 11th, 2014, 5:06 pm

The current VASSAL save game option is really a "save as" function where you are prompted to overwrite the file you just opened. Would love to see this changed (or new option added) that just saves the game file like most other applications do. Would also love to be able to assign a hot-key so you could save the game with a single key-stroke.

"Save" shouldn't be like that. Give us a patch if you want it fixed.
Adding new hotkeys to V3.2 is inviting trouble, however, as we don't
have any way of telling what's already in use in modules. (I intend for
us to define a reasonable set of application hotkeys for V4.)
