Turning Maps 90 Degrees Possible?

Is there an easy way to turn a Vassal wargame map 90 degrees?
I don't like the map orientation of many Vassal modules and I'm wondering whether there is an easy way to turn them 90, 180 or 270 degrees from the point of view of the player.

In the current version, you'd have to modify the module to do that. In
V4, you'll be able to rotate maps to any orientation you want with the
mouse.

So, in V4, will a map be rotatable independently of units?
That would be ideal.
