Static Counters

Hi.

I have created counters to represent various facilites; oil well, steelworks, airfield etc.

I want players to be able to place these on the map in their homeland before the game begins.

What I would like to know is how can I disable them so that they cannot be moved? In effect they will become a feature of the map until destroyed (and then deleted).

The only traits they will have are Delete and Property sheet.

They must be able to have other counters stacked on them so that, for instance, an airfield can have aircraft stacked on it.

Thanks.

Use the Does Not Stack trait. You can then pick the circumstances players will be able to select/move the pieces (never, Shift+Click, etc.).

You should also consider using Map Layers, and put the Facilities level below the Units level. This way aircraft will always appear above the airfield.

Thank you.

Using the ‘Does Not Stack’ trait is fine. Once placed and deselected the counter almost becomes part of the board. I can select it for deletion or to examine its properties if I use the ‘Shift’ key to click on it.

So, it appears to be a perfectly workable solution
