PBEM: Flying colors, Caucasus Campaign and more!

Hi, I’m looking for PBEM opponents for the following games:

Hellenes
Wilderness War
Flying Colors
Naopleon’s Triumph
The Caucasus Campaign
Eastfront 2
Hammer of the Scots
Hannibal RVC

I’m quite a noob in all of these games, having played the a maximum of 5-6 times F2F, so don’t expect much of a challenge at first.
Also I’m unfamiliar with PBEM gaming so, if we have to use programs other than VASSAL you’ll have to give me a couple of pointers on how they work.

Thanks!
I’ll add more games as soon as I learn them.

I would be interested in a game of Caucasus Campaign. I’ve not played the game and need to study the rules. I’m comfortable using Vassal. Are you thinking of playing live over the net using Vassal and Skype or exchanging files periodically? Either approach works for me.

I’d prefer to do this PBEM since It could be a problem for me to book a game live.
So, study the rules, choose a side to play (it’s the same for me) and send me the first move (if you choose the axis) or notify me via PM to send you the move (if you choose the Russians).
I’ll be waiting ^^
Daniele
Ps I’m sending you my email via pm. be sure to mention VASSAL in the object so I fon’t spam filter you ^^

I’d like to play Wilderness War and Hannibal.

I use to play in ACTS:

acts.warhorsesim.com/index.asp

Register is free and this web manages the cards, dice rolls and messages. We can use Vassal or Cyberboard to track the movements on the map.

Andrés

This is probably a dumb question since I’m quite the noob, but why the complication of using two systems? Can’t VASSAL track cards dice rolls and messages as well?

I’d certainly enjoy a game of Flying Colors.
Pick your side and scenario if still interested.

Yves

Yes it can but some people use other programs for reasons they prefer.

Yes, but imagine you are playing with lots of good cards and dice rolls… Its better to avoid suspicious about your luck, because with Vassal or Cyberboard you can reload and generate a new file if you don’t like the result. ACTS is like an impartial card system and dice roll system generator.

Andrés

got it…ok, contact me via PM and I’ll give you my mail.
Meanwhile I’ll register on ACTS.
You choose between the two games, you can also choose the side you prefer (I don’t have preferences).
Keep in touch.
D.

I believe that it’s the difference between live play and PBeM.

Hopefully the new logging system we dreamed up, once it gets created, will eliminate the player’s “good luck” or reload factors that forces some to require the use of another piece of software when pbem

I would be interested in flying colors live on vassal

I would be up for a game of Hannibal or Napoleon’s Triumph.

Hello,
If you are still interested in a game of Flying Colors PBEM I would be keen to play. I have some experience of playing the game using Vassal.

Regards
Bryan

If you don’t have your hands full with the other games, I am very interested in Eastfront II. I am also a newbie to that game, so it might be a good match.
