Define attack

I’m very new here and I apologize if this is a stupid question.

To play by email. The log file annotates every movement, die roll, etc. but how I define the attacks?
I tried selecting all the attacking units and defending ones, but then I can find the button that writes the attack.
Should I write by hand?: Inf 46 + Inf 47 vs Par 33
Also the odds are to be calculated by myself?

This depends on the module you’re using, but, yes, in general VASSAL
provides you with a virtual board, and need to do what you would do
if you were playing face-to-face (such as: declaring attacks,
calculating odds, etc.).

J.

Yes, you write by hand. Your example is fine. I usually include the odds in the same line, so with your example it might be like “My Inf 46 and 47 against your Par 33 at 2:1 odds” then roll the dice immediately after hitting enter on that line.

Thanks all.
I’m trying to learn and I would be sure not to miss something.
