Saved games started with 3.1.17 a bit off in 3.1.18?

Hi,

In two modules so far, Totaler Krieg and Siege of Alesia, when I load saved games, the counters are a hex or two misaligned. Is there any way to fix that without trying to re-align every counter, or do I have to go back to 3.1.17 for as long as I still have those games in progress?

Also, is this something that’s common, or is it specific to certain modules?

Thanks,

Chris

There’s nothing I can see in the changes between 3.1.17 and 3.1.18 that
might cause this. Could you post a saved game where this happens, and
tell us which module version you were using?

Yes, thanks, here you go. I realized as I load this that this game has been ongoing for over a year, maybe it was started in an even older version of vassal? In any case, it’s module version 1.02 for GMT’s The Siege of Alesia, and that’s the only module version we’ve used. When I load the file, the counters are misaligned, enough to make it more or less impossible to manually correct with any sense of getting it right.

Thanks for checking.

When I load your log in 3.1.17 with version 1.02 of the module, it tells
me that your log was saved using version 1.0 of the module. Are you sure
that you haven’t changed module versions?

Other than a) once driving away from a gas pump with the hose still in my gas tank (apparently, you’d be surprised how often that happens and how not a big deal it ends up being) and b) once calling tech support about my internet being out and discovering that the cable was disconnected at a coupling that I’d already checked, this is the most embarrassing public display of boneheadedness of my adult life. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and went and re-downloaded all the modules I’m using. I didn’t even think to check that. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for looking into it.

Chris

I drive off with gas hoses all the time. The attendants don’t mind so much as long as you bring the hoses back.

Right? When I did it, the attendant didn’t even realize I’d done it!
