I’m looking for a portable VASSAL (to use it on USB key for exemple).

Just copy the entire VASSAL directory from your computer to your USB drive–it’ll run, provided the computer to which you connect the USB key has Java installed.
I can only agree with Joel and recommend doing it since you often download results from different machines and mailaccounts so it is troublesome to keep updated directories on all machines
