Tiling directory

In 3.2 is it possible to specify the tiling directory, or is that hard coded?

It’s hard-coded. Why do you need to specify the directory for the tile
cache?

For development only.
I’m using ‘dropbox’ to distribute frequent (several times per week) changes of the VASSAL module during playtest. I was hoping to save playtest-players a rather lengthy re-tiling of my massive map images by having them pre-tiled in a dropbox folder.

No biggie - it’s fine as is - I just wanted to make sure there isn’t a more efficient before just plodded along.

How lengthy are we talking about here?

Um… faster computers probably in the 2 to 3 minute range, slower ones maybe upwards of 5 to 7… maybe. Haven’t really timed it beyond knowing that it seems like forever when waiting for it

That said, I don’t think it’s worth making any changes to VASSAL on this count. Once development settles with the module, so will the number of times we have to sit through the tiling process.
