Vassal doesn´t recognize me!

Hi

I´ve:

  • the vassal version 3.2.5.
  • The Napoleon´s Triumph version 0.45

It´s the second turn and:

  • when I enter in the game, it doesn´t identifies me as the allied player. I´m not able to see my pieces.
I´ve already played with vassal (this module and version) and had no problems!!!

I used Ccleaner to “clean” my computer. This program eliminates cookies and that kind of stuff. Was this the problem, must I start again?

It’s possible that you’ve inadvertantly deleted your user prefs.

Are your username and password in the module preferences when you load
the module?

“Module preferences”!!

I dont know what this is. I´ll check it.

Thanks

EDIT:

Meanwhile, I cheked. I don´t know the answer to that question, but I may tell you that my preferences are:

  • Disable directX - No
  • Show wizard at startup - Yes

Look at the tab labeled “Personal”. Your username and password are
there.

I´ve been playing in the last couple of days. that didn’t happen again…!?!

Thanks to all.

“Look at the tab labeled “Personal”. Your username and password are

Now I understand. You have got to enter in a game and there inside File; Preferences; Personal we may change hour name and password.

Now I know. Changed it, and big mistake. :frowning:((PP

I have a game under the username “newbie”.

Question: Is the password of newbie known by anyone or is randomly created. (Please say is teh first option, pleeeeeease)?

If you put nothing in as the password, then the password is the empty
string.

J.

It doesn´t work.

But, good news:
1 - Only one game lost and it was starting.
2 - I understand the problem fully, and I know how to avoid it in the future.

Thanks to all, especially to uckelman.

If you need to recover that saved game, look in the preferences file
for that module to find whatever password you had (assuming that you
haven’t already changed it).
