Garbage pieces appearing when saved game is loaded for Victo

I downloaded the new version today. Everything worked great until I tried loading a game I’d just saved.

I’ve attached the .vsav file. The new version puts a ton of unwanted pieces in the upper, left corner when the game is loaded.

Thus spake johnrpack:

Was the saved game saved with the old verison or the new version of
the module?

What are the version numbers of what you’re calling the “old” and “new” modules?

I can’t answer the “last version” question. The reason I downloaded
Vassal again is that I had to rebuild my system. So it was some
version prior to that where I didn’t have to go through the Wizard.

The release archive is here:

It would help us if you could determine which version is the most recent working one.

I can reproduce the problem with VitP. I’m not sure whether it’s a module bug or our bug yet.

It’s a module bug. Those pieces in the upper left are old versions of
other pieces on the map. (Check the context menu on one of the
warships duplicated the upper left—you’ll see that it does not match
the one which is on the map.) I believe that the Z-order bugfix (Bug
10946) in 3.2.13 caused these pieces, which were there all along, to
be visible again.

The solution is for the maintainer of the module to remove these pieces
from the scenario setups. Contact him about the problem. You can find
the maintainer of the module on the page for the module in the module
library:
