Delete imported pictures

Hi everyone!

I’m working on my first Vassal module at the moment and it’s going quite well. I just have one question.
My file is already quite big and I was wondering how I can remove graphics that I imported but which I don’t need anymore. I’ve changed some graphics while I was creating the module and (I guess) all the old images are still in there 'cause I can still select them.
I’m new to this, so I might be totally wrong ;) But if there’s a way to delete them, I haven’t found it yet.

Thanks!

Modules are ZIP archives. Remove the unwanted images from the images
directory, then recompress.

When I try to delete an image from the folder an error occurs… it says that the “archive is destroyed” (I translated it, I’m German, so I’m not sure how the exact English expression is).

I deleted the sound folder before… I’m afraid I wasn’t supposed to delete the whole folder? There where a couple of sounds in it, because I was trying those out but I didn’t wan’t to use them.
The module is still working though…

It would help if you were more specific. What program are you using to
delete an image? What is telling you that the archive is destroyed?

I used WinRar and just right-click deleted the folder in the ZIP archive… and then the error occured.
I hope I’m even talking about the right ZIP archive. It’s the one that’s automatically created when making a new module, right? I’m really new to this, sorry ;)

Try using something other than WinRar, and make sure that the module
is closed when you do this. 7Zip is a good option on Windows.

Great, no error with 7Zip! Thanks!
And you said I have to recompress it? Do I have to do that manually or does it synchronize it when I restart the module?

7Zip should do that when you close the module file.

I had the wrong archive and nothing changed, that’s why I asked if I had to synchronize it x)
But it all worked now!

Thanks so much for the help!
