Deleting old graphics?

I am trying to use a module I already did as a template for a new module. But I have a suspicion that when you do this even if you delete the old maps etc. from the vmod in the module editor they remain available to use in the new vmod. If I am correct, how do you get rid of the old maps/ units graphics stored in the vmod so that you are not ballooning the size of new vmod’s every time you use an old one for a template?

Thanks

VASSAL modules are ZIP archives. The images are in the directory named
images/. Remove the unwanted images with a program for handling ZIP
archives. (7zip is a good option on Windows. zip is a good option on
Linux and Mac OS X.)

I’ll try it again that is kind of what I thought. But when I unzipped it all I got was an empty folder. Maybe I have to modify the extension to .zip? then if it works zip it back up and rename the extension to .vmod?

Thanks at any rate for your response!!!

You should not be getting an empty folder when you unzip a module.
What did you use to unzip the module?

I used winzip I must have used it improperly the first time some how the second time it worked. Meant post that I had figured it out. But for some reason it took forever for my browser to load the Vassal page so I went back to work. Got all the stuff deleted that I needed to delete. Thank you very much for your time!
