AH 1963 Stalingrad hex lettering

Postby iam2509 » April 10th, 2015, 6:43 pm

I have just uploaded Stalingrad "Original Art" vassal module.

http://www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Stalingrad

I would love to add the java import for "oblique" hex lettering and numbering used by 1960's Avalon Hill games.

Stalingrad has LETTERS beginning with "A" at the top left running across the top ending with "XX".

NUMBERS begin at the top left hex with 58 and run down the left side ending with 0; the bottom far right hex is "XX-0".

Any assistance in adding this hex lettering and numbering would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why is the vassal grid so "off" ? It doesnt match up to the map image. Need to fix that first

Tim,

I shifted the vassal grid southward so three pieces would fit inside each hex without overlapping onto the next hex while keeping the space between each piece what I desired.

(I often do this in vassal modules I make - vassal places a piece too high up in the hex, "wasting" the bottom of the hex.)

Thanks for your help...

I acquired and implemented the following OBLIQUE (old Avalon Hill) hex numbering into the Stalingrad vassal module:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3742&p=21650&hilit=oblique#p21650

but continue to get the following error message: Any possible solution to eliminate this error message?

You must do one of the following:

* Recompile the class indicated for Java 5.
* Stop using that class.

These are the only ways to suppress the warning you're seeing.
