Scanning images for Elder Sign

Hi,

I want to scan new images for the Elder Sign module.

There are two kinds of cards :

  • Small cards, 1.5 x 2.5 in
  • Large cards, 2.5 x 5 in

What would be the best way to scan the cards (resolution, filetype, …)

What is the easiest way to generate images with the same dimensions (Something like a program that would allow to move the selection rectangle and save the selection easily).

For scanning cards I normally use 200 dpi.
As for file type, I use JPG to save on file size or PNG if I need a lossless image.

I use PaintShop Pro for piece manipulation.
