Properly Numbering Irregular Hexgrid

Howdy Gents,

How do you get the Hex Grid Numbering system to properly number a hex grid when there’s only one corner to the map that … well is rather like a corner, while the other three “corners” are odd-ball shaped. In other words the hex grid is not square. Three of the four corners are “cut off” sort of like a swept wing on a Delta 106.

Oh, and the only “square” corner is a “bottom” corner so that the numbering there is at the bottom of the numbering system (it’s not 0001, its 1036)

Thanks,
Tom

Sorry if I’m not following exactly, but maybe try a Multi-zoned grid for the board, adding a zone with the particular area’s shape, then use the hex grid inside that.

I’ll try that and see what happens.
