It should work. Let's say you have a deck sitting in a zone called
DiscardZone and let's say your map is called Tabletop.

You should be able to put a Trigger Action on the card to fire when the
card is moved on the map that will send a command to play the sound

CurrentMap = Tabletop && CurrentZone != DiscardZone

(the != means "does not equal")

Then is should skip this command when the card is placed in the deck.
