Might not be the network.  It might be the router/wifi services.  

For those of you having trouble, what router are you using?

I'm using an At&T U-verse NVGS89.  The wifi crapped out on me this
morning, and I connected to the router via an ethernet cable. Vassal has
been working like clockwork since.
