A Game Master has to define the phases - Research or Actions - during which the different buttons and possible actions are available for users. Players can click on their buttons to report their actions : 1, NextPlayer,2 and Pass. Next Generation does not automatically reset the phase to Research - this must be done by one player before te new project cards can be drawn. Generation 1 allows for 10 project cards to be drawn, next ones for 4, and ONLY during research phase.
