Getting VASSAL to run on Netbeans
Before we begin I would like to point out that I am by no means an expert on Java development or Netbeans. This guide was created because I fancied setting VASSAL up on Netbeans and there wasn't a guide for it. This guide will explain exactly how I managed to get Netbeans to open VASSAL and hopefully will be of some use to others who wish to do the same.
This guide was written from a Windows Vista perspective and as such set up may be different for other operating systems.
Your first step is to get netbeans itself working. This will require two downloads, Netbeans and the Java Development Kit. Luckily, Sun provide a download bundle which combines the two. This can be found HERE.
